New Project Start: £65K Heritage Renovation in Brighton
Yesterday marked the exciting beginning of the build stage of a £65,000 renovation project in collaboration with architect Samuel Gledhill of Gledhill Architecture Studio on a charming heritage property in Brighton, East Sussex. This property boasts beautiful period features, incredible natural light, and a layout brimming with potential — now set to be transformed with carefully considered design and high-end finishes throughout.
Here’s a look at the master bedroom in its original state. You can already see the potential with the bay window and characterful proportions, but there’s work to be done:
Master Bedroom
New Ensuite Shower Room -A completely new ensuite is being created, finished entirely in microcement — walls, floor, and ceiling — for a seamless, contemporary spa-like finish.
Insulation Upgrade - We’re enhancing the thermal performance of the external walls, bringing this heritage room up to modern standards without compromising on style.
Timber Veneer Joinery - Custom storage will be installed in the alcoves and under the bay window seat using rich, timber veneer joinery for warmth and practicality.
Full Refit Of Finishes & Redecoration - Including new skirtings, doors, floor finishes, and paintwork — all carefully curated to elevate the space while respecting its historic charm.
Bedroom Two
Shaker-Style Wall Paneling - This room will have a bold new identity with shaker-style paneling running around the entire room, topped with playful wallpaper above for contrast and personality.
Lower Ground Floor Bathroom
Full Renovation - This space is being transformed into a modern shower room with integrated utility services, maximising every inch of functionality and style.
Stay tuned as we share updates, behind-the-scenes details, and finished shots in the coming weeks. This is going to be a beautiful transformation — and we’re just getting started.
